The spouse of a Singapore citizen or PR falls within ICA's first eligibility category whatever pass they hold, including LTVP, Dependant's Pass and Work Permit holders. The citizen or PR spouse sponsors the application through the ICA e-Service with Singpass. ICA publishes no minimum marriage duration but has said repeatedly that marriage does not entitle a foreigner to automatic PR, and that the marriage's stability and length and the sponsor's ability to support the family are considered.
