How to appeal a rejected Singapore PR application
You can appeal a rejected Singapore PR application only through the ICA e-Service, only within 12 months of the date on your rejection letter, and only via the sponsor's Singpass (or your own if the application had no sponsor). ICA assesses appeals on the same factors as applications and states plainly that an appeal with the same information will have the same outcome — so an appeal is worthwhile only when you can show what has changed.

What to include
- A clear statement of what has changed since the rejected application — role, salary, tenure, qualifications, family, residence — each with the document that proves it.
- Updated employment evidence: a fresh employer letter (dated within 3 months, with occupation, start date, basic and gross salary) and the latest six months of payslips.
- New certificates for any qualification completed since.
- Family documents for any new tie (marriage certificate, child's birth certificate).
- Anything ICA asked for previously that was missing or incomplete.
What does not help
- Re-submitting the same documents with a longer letter. ICA has said the outcome will be the same.
- Speculating about the reason for rejection — ICA does not disclose reasons, and guessing wastes the appeal.
- Templated appeal letters. Consultancies themselves warn against them.
- Appeals through channels other than the e-Service — they are not accepted.
